Killer Guides Aion Guides

Product previews are not something that can be openly shared with the public. I was however able to get an OK from a Killer Guides representative to share a sneak peak of one of their Aion guides with you.
Besides Aion English guides, it seems that German version of the guide is available along with other Aion guides such as Gladiator and Assassin. Going back to the guide preview, here’s a section cut out from their Aion Quest guide for you to check out:
Being one of those people who believe in guides, I’d like to recommend the Aion guides that are being offered at the Killer Guides online shop. In general, I would say their guides are very well perceived, the perception in terms of guide content focus, relevance or level of experience of the targeted reader would depend on individual’s personal perception.
Besides their Aion Strategy guide, they also offer a full set of class guides for every class in the game as well as a Kinah guide. At the moment, the other guides are available for pre-order and are planned for release in these few weeks. Some of the content included in their Aion guides include Aion quests guides, walkthroughs, kinah-making strategies, leveling tips, strategies to perform outstandingly in every enounter and an abundance of advance gaming strategies any player can employ.

Development of Aion

Aion was first announced and previewed at the May 2006 E3 Expo. It was developed at NCSoft's software design studio in South Korea. The Korean closed beta test began in late 2007,followed by an open beta test in November 2008. A localized Chinese version began closed beta testing in December 2008, with open testing beginning on April 8, 2009.

The game was then localized for Western markets, including North America, Europe, and Australia. NCSoft held six weekend long closed beta tests for North American and European players beginning in June, 2009. An open beta began in September, 2009. During the course of this open beta, the anti-cheat program GameGuard was removed. GameGuard is used in many Asian-market games to stop botting and cheating, but was abandoned for Western markets due to a range of issues experienced during the open beta. GameGuard is still used in the Asian markets.

NCSoft has announced plans for a major update in 2010, including an overhaul of the current CryEngine graphics engine CryEngine X1.9.

Are there limits to flight?

Other than the previously mentioned limits to where you can fly, there is another significant limitation that you will always need to keep in mind.Flight has a time limit. I learned this lesson the hard way in the middle of playing with my flight controls and ended up respawning in my bind location before I even realized what had hit me!Aion has falling damage and if you are hovering miles above the ground when time runs out, you will die when you hit the ground. That nifty little flight indicator button that we have already talked about also has a timer around it. This ring around the button has 16 bubbles that tick down while you fly and turns red and angrily flashes when it gets down to 4 bubbles to indicate time is almost up. That is generally enough time to find a place to land assuming you haven’t gotten yourself somewhere rather dangerous. You can land in out of the way places like ledges, cliffs, on top of buildings and other structures so even if you aren’t near the ground, finding some place (any place!) to stand while you wait for your flight bubbles to tick back up again is totally okay!

When will I get to start flying?Where can I fly?

There is no flight through your first 9 levels. The ability is granted once you have completed your ascension quests and you join the ranks of the Daevas. Your first real introduction to flight will be the cities after you have left the newbie area. It is here that you will learn about maneuvering, fighting, and gathering while in the air. It can get a little tricky though, so I strongly suggest flying around as much as possible at first to get the hang of it.
Where can I fly?
Pieces of Aion need to be present in order for players to have the ability to fly. The Abyss highlights aerial combat so you may plan on using flight as part of your strategy here. Around the rest of the world, the best way to tell if flight is possible is to glance at your UI. There is a button on the lower right hand corner that shows a wing graphic when you’re in an area where you can fly and turns black when you cannot fly. This flight indictor will be your best friend whenever you fly.How do I fly?You can take off by hitting your “Page Up” key and land by hitting the “Page Down” key on your keyboard. I personally did not like the location of those keys but luckily the game also provides a hotkey icon that you can find in your skills window under the actions tab. Drag and drop the icon from this tab to your hotbar where you can use it to take off or to land. If you prefer mouse control over keyboard, you can also click the flight button on the lower right hand corner of your UI.

Having never...Aion is a game that not only allows for multi-dimensional combat, but encourages it to the point where players may never again want to return to strictly land bound gaming. Having never played a game quite like Aion, I was very anxious to make my way to ascension and earn my wings so I could get my taste of freedom and find out what all the hype concerning Aion flight has been all about. I have found that flight is not at all overstated and while the best way to get to know flying is to learn the system hands-on, we want to give you a running head start with some quick facts that will make mastering flight a lot quicker and easier! How is flight in Aion possible?Enjoy views unlike anything you have seen before! Aion’s lore tells us that prior to the world shattering, flight was common in Atreia and Elyos and Asmodians alike enjoyed this powerful gift as thoughtlessly as we enjoy drawing breath. After the world split, flight had been somewhat forgotten for a time until the discovery of the shards of Aion that were found scattered across the lands. Elyos and Asmodians reclaimed their gift of flight through ascension and Daevas once again soared through the skies of Atreia. It is amongst these shattered pieces of Aion that we find our ability to fly, and while flight isn’t possible in all parts of the world, it is in many major areas throughout the world and within the Abyss.

Aion Sales

Aion is the massively multiplayer online game from NCsoft and earlier we reported that the game would be coming to Europe and North America. Now according to Gamespot, the NCsoft MMO, Aion has sold almost a million copies in North American and European regions.
Apparently the company announced in its third quarter earnings call that the MMO had sold over 500,000 copies in North America and 470,000 copies across Europe. Aion gave NCsoft quite a boost, and revenues for the most recent quarter were up by 112 percent to 142 million dollars, and net income during the July to September period were reportedly up by about 836 percent to 40 million dollars. In Aion, players are engaged in a war foughtbetween celestial creatures, as the fate of the magical world of Atreia lies in the balance. A crucial part of the game is flight, and players can use it to explore new locations, combat enemies, and to complete quests in the game.

How do Clerics earn Abyss Points?

Abyss Points, in general, are rewarded based in the damage dealt by a whole group. (A group being, at maximum, six characters.) A Cleric will not gain any Abyss Points if he plays on his own and heals the members of a different group, but he will gain the same number of Abyss Points as his fellow group members receive when they fight other players or groups. He also gains the same amount of Abyss Points as anyone else would when dealing damage and successfully defeating opponents in one-on-one situations. The Medals distributed during fortress sieges are assigned based on Abyss Point ranking. One might rephrase the original question as: How do Clerics earn Medals?Medals can be used to buy items in the Abyss and are therefore quite valuable. Gold and Silver Medal rewards are given out to the top 100 players of a siege based on the amount of Abyss Points those players gained. It’s essential for everyone to be able to participate in Abyss sieges and other more or less voluntary brawls. While there is always room to improve any game system, we feel that the current Abyss Point and Medal system goes a long way to compensate players for their respective efforts. In Aion, we always try to encourage what we feel is the foundation of MMO gaming: playing with friends and grouping. With the latest Aion patch, patch 1.5.1, are adding Medal rewards to Legions that successfully defend a fortress throughout a siege. The Legion’s Brigade General will distribute these to the Legion’s members, including Clerics. Not only will this allow Legions to more independently distribute rewards according to what contributions they feel were made, but we also hope this change will motivate Legions to take greater care in defending their fortresses.

Aion Bot, Aion Hacks, Aion Macros

This page is dedicated to finding the best aion bot for you, Filled with reviews and helpful information so you can't go wrong finding the best bots on the market.

What is an Aion Bot?
Aion bots are primarily used to level characters effortlessly but can be used for other purposes such as healing and buff bots. Some can be used just for their basic functions such as auto-loot and even their hacks. With Aion being released without GameGuard, this has spawned quite a number of Aion Bots in a short period of time. There are many to choose from and sometimes its hard to decide which is the best bot for you. So this page is dedicated to finding the best aion bot for you.

Try The Aion Bot

Do you want to powerlevel to 50, farm billions of kinah, and gear out with the best loot with the click of your cursor? With an Aion Bot, you can put your powerleveling and gold farming on autopilot. A bot can run for hours a day on mobs, filling your inventory with the best gear, pillaging piles of gold, and lots of experience. An Aion bot works by continuously patrolling, hunting mobs, looting, and even gathering. These bots are set to run for days at a time while you are away from the computer at work, at school, out with buddies, or even while you sleep. These bots appear just like other players that might be grinding or completing quests. Aion bots send inputs thru keys to the game and make use of ingame functionality to automate gameplay. The greatest bots have complicated waypoint systems, run back to your farming path on death, buff up, and even stop looting when your inventory is full! Aion was engineered to offer many quests, but still need you to grind to level up. By the point you reach level 20 you may already be running out of quests and might have to grind for hours to reach the next level. This game has some of the best PVP and content in any MMO, so why pass the time grinding while you could be PVPing or purchasing the following set ofgear. With an Aion bot you can still experience all of the missions in the game if you like, and only bot when the game makes you grind. I like this aion leveling bot and aion grinding bot. Not only does it offer an sophisticated waypoint system, deathruns, buffing, a configurable combat system, and plenty more sophisticated features, but it also includes gameguard protection to keep your account safe. Free or public macro bots don't include this protection and using them may result in your account being banned. With this aion bot you can keep your account safe while botting. It also has its own launcher, and one of the largest botting community forums on the net. With this aion bot you cannot get it wrong.

The Sorcerer,Guide

The Sorcerer class follows a very natural path of progression from the Mage archetype. Rather than being saddled with the same old spells and a spiffy new pet like the Spiritmaster, you can now focus all of your efforts into bending the weave of the universe to your will. The destruction you were able to wreak as a mere mortal mage doesn’t remotely compare to the hell you’ll learn to unleash upon your foes as an immortal Sorcerer.
Strengths Extremely high DPS (ranged)Multiple "Get out of jail free" abilitiesLess gear dependent than other archetypesWeaknessesVery slow auto attackHobos have better armorSlow mana regenerationWords to still live by"Kill or be killed... quickly."
Yay! I’m a Sorcerer… now gimmee. The first thing you’ll receive is your choice of a new weapon. Up until now, you’ve been forced to flip open a spellbook, waggle your fingers, and zap some enemies. Now you can choose between another spellbook and a new weapon type: an orb.Given all the information available to you in the description of both, it looks as though you would be a fool not to choose the Orb of Karma. The Orb does more damage, has better stats (minus the Magical Accuracy), and let’s face facts; everyone likes to play with something new. Sounds great, right? Guess what though. You should take the Spellbook of Karma instead. On paper, this looks like a boneheaded idea of the first order. There’s just one disturbing little fact the description of both items fails to mention. The Orb is a close range (as in melee distance) weapon. This works perfectly for a Spiritmaster, but for the Sorcerer, it’s a near-suicidal mistake. The Spellbook is a ranged weapon, just like you’ve been using all along, so grab it and be happy.
Where Are My New Spells?Once the thrill and excitement of your recent ascension wears off, you’ll quickly begin to realize you’re little more than a glorified Mage at this stage of your development. While you may not get a lot of new spells, you have grown in power so don’t get too depressed. The treasures of the future are just around the corner. At level 10, your method of hunting should not vary at all from your days as a Mage. Even though you’re using the same techniques, you do have a couple of new abilities (Herb and Mana Treatments) to do it with. Flame Bolt II is an upgraded version of Flame Bolt I (duh!) and packs a meaner punch. It works exactly the same way and will also trigger your Blaze chain attack.

Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 3

Munihele Forest
When you first venture into Munihele Forest, you'll come across Dabi and Motgor. Motgor will complete Idle Hands and offer you Insect Problem. Whichever insect you choose, both the Sparkys and Sylphon are in abundant supply nearby. Talk to Dabi to get Search for Rae, Token of Lost Love, and Sap for Leather. Before heading southeast to Verdandi, take care of Insect Problem and Token of Lost Love then hand them in, but save Sap for Leather for now. Head to Verdandi to advance Search for Rae, and she'll want you to gather sticky mushrooms. These grow on the base of certain trees, and several of the spawns seem to be broken. Just keep clicking and searching until you get a usable node.
Verdandi will "tell your fortune" - a little bit of a playable cutscene that's to be continued later. Cull the Doru population a bit (and welcome to level 6), then Verdandi will ask you to figure out which ribbit is the meddlesome little Rae. As you can probably guess, the cute ribbit is the correct one.
Instead of returning to Aldelle Village, venture onward to Auturoon Sentry Post, your next quest hub. There's a flight transporter to Aldelle Village that you can unlock there to make your village trips hassle free.

Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 2

Aldelle Village
Pull up your map (keystroke [M] by default) and you'll see the cusp of Aldelle Village down the road to the southwest. Entering the village will grant you one of two "pop-up" quests: Captain's Orders. Hit [J] to pull up your quest journal and see that this is also your first campaign quest. Campaign quests are mandatory storyline quests that also provide you with some excellent equipment upgrades, so it's worth your while to complete these first.
Ulgorn is standing in the middle of the village. Report to him to get a few more campaign quests (Thinking Ahead, The Search for Rae, Memento Mori). While you're in the village, grab The Shinier The Better from Bacorkerk (sell off any misc items you have to the general goods vendor next to him) and Urd's Request from, not surprisingly, Urd. Before leaving the village, talk to your class instructor and pick up the next round of spells (Priests and Mages will find their trainer in the northwest of the village, Scouts in the eastern part, Warriors in the west). Then chat with Boromer to advance Thinking Ahead (and see your very first cutscene, and get in touch with your bad Asmod self). You'll then venture down the road to talk to Nobekk for another Thinking Ahead quest advance, plus Angelica for Health and Wellbeing. Off to Lake Tunapre.
Lake Tunapre
You'll pick up Talking with Mirou on the way to the lake. Start cranking on the slinks and airons around and in the lake and you'll hit level 4 soon enough. Keep an eye out for Angelica to harvest for Nobekk too. When you finish, talk to Bohr next to Negi's Dock. You might as well accept his proposal for the experience and cash - if you refuse you'll be able to accept again immediately. It seems Bohr's cowardice knows no bounds. If you're lucky, you'll loot a rolled scroll. Double click it to get Return to Sender, a simple delivery quest that's the perfect way to return to Aldelle Village.
Turn in this round of quests to advance Thinking Ahead, then pick up Idle Hands from Kaindal (he's wandering through the center of the village). Take care of the Sprigg Gatherers next to the lake, and you should be level 5! Train your new spells and abilities, set up your hotbar, and return to the village. This is a great time to sell your stuff, put any potions you have on the hotbar, and expand your cube (or inventory, since soon your trips will take you farther afield), and buy your level 7 spells / skills. Finish any remaining business you have in Lake Tunapre and Aldelle Village, then head west on the road to Munihele Forest.

Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 1

Character Creation
So you've decided to roll Asmodae. Contrary to widespread belief, Asmodae aren't necessarily "evil," but certainly got the worse end of the deal when the cataclysm rent the Tower of Eternity in two. No matter how much time you put into making your character pretty, remember that your Asmodae-ness will shine through in several ways. More sinister-looking Asmod visual attributes - large-ish claws on our feet and hands, a length of mane on your back, sallower shades of skin, scars, and spell effect like red eyes - are simply adaptations or the result of their environment. Nonetheless, living in a rugged land has made the Asmodae into a hard people, and at first brush they are certainly act a little more barbaric than their Elyos cousins.
Archetype, sex, and appearance are three options you won't be able to change with your Aion character, so choose wisely. Be sure to read the archetype descriptions closely and pick something you'll be happy with over the long haul.
Aldelle Basin
You'll start your journey in Ishalgen with Aldelle Basin. Double-click Vandarnt, one of the ubiquitous Ulgorn's raiders, to receive a quest to eradicate the local sprigg population in The Sprigg's Revenge. Spriggs don't pose much of a challenge, so this is a perfect time to learn a little bit about your (rather limited) combat skills. You'll add more skills and spells at level 2, 5, 7, and 9, so be sure to read up on and get the most out of each successive round of new abilities.
Complete your first mission and Vandarnt will send you on your way with The Sprigg Report. Trek down the road a goodly ways until your just past the ruins on the hill. On the other side, below, and to the left lies Guheiten's Tent. Turn in The Sprigg Report (grats! Level 2!) and pick up For The Love of Fruit from Vanar. Start at the Sprigg Den just to the northwest of Guheiten's Tent, double-clicking the fruit baskets (be sure to "Take All" each time) and working your way counterclockwise. Return, turn in, and get Sight for Sore Eyes, which will take you just to the northeast once again. Turning in this one will get you Level 3 and Vanar's Flattery, and you're off again to your next quest hub: Aldelle Village.

Cliona Lake in aion

Cliona LakeQuests from Akarios Village will set you about exploring Cliona Lake where you will help the local populace with clearing out more threats as well as collecting some rare items and retrieving a lost axe. The lake is meant to be the centerpiece of this zone and while the number of quests here do not neccessarily reinforce this feeling, the scenery certainly does. There are several spawn points of the begining gathering recourse here, grab any of these that you can. Gathering quests are a big part of early Aion for a reason, start now so that you wont need to backtrack later. If you are saddened to leave this picturesque spot you need not fret to long, you will be back here to help complete your ascension quest later.

Elyos Poeta Guide

Poeta is the starting area of the Elysea, the homeland of the Elyos and the lower half of the world of Atreia. Your character awakens in the Akarios Plains near the first quest giver, Elpas. Elpas admonishes you for some laziness then sends you off down the road to meet to with Mires. Upon completing your first quest Mires will then offer you a quest to help take back a small farm that has been overrun by some unruly kobolds and other creatures. Completing the quests in this area will take you quickly through the first few levels and guide you down the road to Akarios Village.
Akarios VillageIn Akarios Village you will meet your class trainers, NPC merchants and the quest giver who will begin the quest chain that will lead you eventually to the main goal of Ascension. This area is the main player hub for all of Poeta and contains an obelisk that binds your soul for resurection should you be killed in your early endeavors and a travel portal for teleportation and quick travel to other areas of the zone via a very cool in game flight sequence. There will be a lot of quests to grab here as well as the cube vendor and the class trainers selling spell books. I recommned upgrading your cube, it may seem like a lot but it is very worth it as there are so many trash drops and you will want to sell every single one of them. It is also a good idea to purchase as many spell books as you can afford to maximize your time in the field.

Mastery Kinah Guide

Aion Mastery isn’t the best Aion leveling guide but it’s a very strong kinah making guide. It’s more detailed than anything you’ll find for free and obviously the author really knows what he’s talking about. While I can’t recommend it as the absolutely best kinah making guide, in my opinion it has what it takes to compete with Killerguides Kinah Guide. I was debating whether to rank it first or second but I think it might be even better than Killerguides guide, especially because you can also get leveling guides with it.
My recommendation is to get both Aion Mastery and Killerguides kinah guides as they compliment each other very nicely, but I doubt you want to spend money on two guides so this time I’ll leave the decision about which one to get to you: both of these kinah guides are good and either one will undoubtedly help you become a wealthy player.

Aion Mastery Leveling & Kinah Guide

This is my second favorite Aion leveling guide for a number of reasons. While it’s no doubt a very good guide, Aion Mastery suffers from a few minor things which may not be important to everyone, but that’s what makes excellent leveling guides stand out. First, there are no screenshots included in Aion Mastery, only maps of areas which are unfortunately not labeled in any way. Quests are all listed but unlike in Kozen’s guide there are no additional author comments to help you figure out what you have to do. Most quests in Aion are pretty straightforward so it is not always necessary, but I think these little things are what makes Kozen leveling guide the best.
Despite not having as many additional guides as Kozen or Killerguides guide, I think Aion Mastery is really good in the leveling department and as such is a very good alternative. There is one bonus in Aion Mastery, a kinah guide, and it’s really incredible but you have to pay for it separetely.
New Spiritmasters (and all pet classes from any game) have a distinct tendency to play in one of two ways. They either treat their pet as nothing but added DPS, or they take on the role of pet cleric. Because of the order that spells come to you in Aion, becoming a pet cleric isn't really a viable option in the beginning. By the time you do get the ability to heal your pet at level 16, hopefully you'll already have your own play style and won't fall into that trap. Avoiding the first is going to require some effort for some. The first pet you'll receive is the Fire Spirit. This floating mass of cracked lava may not be quite at the top of the food chain in terms of hit points (though he is close), but if you're looking for a pet that's able to keep mobs off of you with its taunting abilities, there's no better choice than this guy. It's for this reason that the Fire Spirit makes a good first pet.

A Different Breed of Spellcaster

If there were only one piece of advice I could give players before they choose the path of the Spiritmaster, it would be this; you are no longer a Mage. As simple as it sounds, there are still a number of players out there that treat their Spiritmaster as a Mage with a new toy. During your first few levels as a Spiritmaster, it's very easy to fall into this mindset, but if you do, it's only going to make things rougher as you go along. Your pet is more than just an added boost of DPS for you and the sooner you get that through your skull, the easier your life is going to become. For some players, this will require a leap of faith, especially since it's very easy to still act like a Mage in the beginning. Trust me when I say this is a mistake. Your pet is not just added damage. They will become both your close companion and your savior.Whenever you receive a new spell that can be used by your pets, you'll notice that some of them have a list of the different spirit types and what the spell does for them. For example, when you first become a Spiritmaster, one of the spells you'll be able to buy from the trainer is Command: Thunderbolt Claw I. The Fire and Water pets use this as a magical elemental strike, while the Earth and Wind pets use this as a sustainable attack (it ends when they get hit). Another example is Command: Threatening Stance I which you can use at level 13. The spell has different levels of effectiveness depending on which pet it's used in conjunction with. It’s virtually useless when used by the Water Spirit, but extremely effective when used with the Fire Spirit. The key to staying alive with the Spiritmaster is learning to use the right pet for the right job and being ready to swap on the fly.

Discovering the power of the Aion Spiritmaster

The SpiritmasterThe Spiritmaster class is not the most natural path of progression from the Mage archetype. Unlike the Sorcerer class, the Spiritmasters of Aion no longer feel the need to continue on the path of pure spell slinging, since they've unlocked the secrets to forcing the very spirits of the land to serve their needs. Just because they may not have the full magical range of their Sorcerer brethren, only a fool would believe they can't deal as much (if not more) damage.
Strengths High sustainable DPS Multiple pet types for different situationsLess gear dependent than other archetypesWeaknessesVery pet dependentHobos have better armorSlow mana regenerationWords to live by"Possessing a pet means never having to ask for volunteers."
Yay! I’m a Spiritmaster… now gimmee. The first thing you’ll receive is your choice of a new weapon. Up until now, you’ve been forced to flip open a spellbook, waggle your fingers, and zap some enemies. Now you can choose between another spellbook and a new weapon type: an orb. There's no reason why you can't choose the Spellbook of Karma if you're so inclined, but the Orb is a far superior choice for the Spiritmaster.

Shortcut to Beluslan Observatory/Draupnir Cave

Since i explored again in areas i should not run around in with my level *grin* I figured i post something useful from todays travels. The Draupnir Cave (instance for lvl ~43-50) entrance is in the middle of an elite area. If you want to go there fighting your way through can be quite annoying. To speed things up you can use a small shortcut. Since i traveled there today anyway i took a few screenshots to make it easier for those that have not been there. You'll want to move to position 1 first. Run up the slope as shown on the left picture. From up there you'll glide over to the other side as seen on the right picture.
Over on the other side you need to climb the mountain as shown in the left picture. This part is pretty easy to find your way up. On top of the mountain you will glide over towards the area of the Beluslan Observatory as shown on the right picture. At the Beluslan Observatory you'll want to jump off at position 2, the broken bridge part shown on the picture to the right, and aim to glide to the area at position 3. Now you are very close to the bridge leading towards the cave area. This shortcut should save you and your group members some time. While many know this shortcut, there is another way you can use as well: North of the Fang Troll Encampment is a Balaur Teleport Stone Statue, position is marked on the initial map. Using this statue will teleport you up the mountain above the statue location. From there you can climb the mountain to the left and glide towards position 3 as well. You'll not make it in one glide but can land close to the mountain and sneak through the elites from there without hassle. I did not time each way, so no idea which one is faster. It will probably depend from where you are traveling. Tho if you come from Red Mane, the statue might be slightly faster IMO.

Aion Class Preview - The Cleric 1

Immerse Yourself In The ClericThe Cleric is one of only two healing classes in Aion; both come from the priest archetype, but the Cleric is the closest to a traditional healer of the two. Armed with an arsenal of player buffs, heal over time and direct heal spells, the Cleric is an essential element of any complete group. Strengths:Ability to wear chain armor, allowing for higher survivability than cloth casters. Powerful heals that when used properly can make the Cleric nearly impossible to kill. Bulk of their power comes from ranged abilities, further enhancing survivabilityLow damage output when soloClerics are Aion's healers of the mind and bodyThe Cleric possesses the ability to resurrect its allies which no other class can do. While the Chanter is more of a dedicated group buff class with strong damage potential, the Cleric is very much the healbot or walking potion of the group. Healing in Aion, however, is a very dynamic process and resource management is key to being an effective healer here.Unique AbilitesClerics learn a race specific Divine Power skill at level 10. The Elyos get Salvation while the Asmodians get Pandaemonium's Protection , a different name for the same ability that allows the player to trade two thousand Divine Power points for 50% of their maximum mana and hit points. Divine Power (DP) is accumulated by killing mobs or Baldur, it is not a resourse to be used lightly as it is not gained quickly or easily.

Sorcerer PVP Primer 1

Walk softly and carry a big can of whoop ass.Aion provides a fairly decent learning curve for players to learn their class in the early levels. That gingerly hand-holding goes away as soon as players enter the Abyss and world PVP. Similarly, optimizing a Sorcerer for PVE is quite different from preparing for PVP. In the early levels a Sorcerer may load up on manastones that boost magic, but once you go toe to toe with another player those stones should all add HP. This is just one area that a Sorcerer needs to shift the thinking between PVE and PVP. Let’s review some of the others and discuss the Sorcerer’s role in PVP.Strengths and WeaknessesThe obvious strength of the Sorcerer is the high output of damage. If a Sorcerer can stand back away from the fray and lob big direct damage spells, the fight is not going to last too long. And if an enemy does manage to get up close and personal, then the Area of Effect stuns (Sleeping Storm) and crowd control can allow the Sorcerer to put some distance between them and the attacker. The glaring weakness of the class is the lack of damage mitigation and overall health. The primary weakness of the class is its inability to handle incoming damage. As stated earlier, load up on manastones with health to help offset this as much as possible. The Sorcerer that can balance between dealing damage and managing incoming damage will truly understand how to play the class. As with any class, knowing when to cast which spell is critical especially with the small margin for error for such a delicate class.

Sorcerer PVP Primer 2

Getting jumped (and not in the good way)The Sorcerer doesn’t have personal space protection like real armor. A cloth robe is not much in the way of protection, so keep that shield up at all times. While leveling up, get very comfortable with the various roots, stuns, and crowd control measures. When getting into PVP land, you’ll have to know instinctively which to cast in a given situation. If you have some distance while fighting a single target, you have some time to cast Sleep or Ice Chain or something similar. If however you don’t have the luxury of time, be ready with an instant cast Root. Blowing the wrong spell in the wrong circumstance can be deadly (ask me how I know). You must be a Premium Member to view this Pro Tip.Find out more about the benefits of membership.Choosing Stats and StigmasAs mentioned above, there is a distinct difference between how a player should gear up for PVP versus PVE. Beyond adding as much HP as you can get your hands on, you’ll want to make some choices when it comes to stigmas and gear.In contrast to many of the games on the market I’m surprised at all of the options for specializing the Sorcerer skill sets. Feel free to try out different blends of damage increases and crowd control measures. Most of the Sorcerers tend to go down the survivability tree and end up with Sleep Storm as their end-game Advanced Stigma. Between that skill and the predecessors like Illusion Storm, the Sorcerer has a plethora of self-defense mechanisms. Having multiple stuns, snares, etc. at your fingertips is essential as most players will drop a potion to get out of the first stun placed on them. Additionally, you’ll want to grab the Illusion stigma to help avoid some of the incoming damage. When it comes to weapons the Sorcerer is fairly limited. The weapon of choice is typically a Book instead of an orb due to the ranged attack (orbs are melee) and the fact that books typically have stats for greater percentage of landing spells (magic accuracy). The enemy won’t die if you don’t land that spell. The gear decisions should be based on the stats provided to the Sorcerer. The primary stat is Magic Boost which will increase overall damage and this is a good thing. The next tier of stats to look for include Magic Accuracy and Casting Time Boost. Both compliment the Sorcerer casting requirements and should be included (I’d give the nod to accuracy over casting time, but your mileage may vary). The last tier would be HP increase and Attack Speed. Attack Speed helps Sorcerers even though it sounds like a melee bonus. Attack Speed actually increases the combat animations for your character which will reduce the “down” time between casts. I’d load up on more health if given the option between the two though.Bringing It HomeThe blessing and curse of class is that there are so many possible combinations for damage output versus crowd control. I’ve outlined some of the thoughts behind the choices for increasing survivability, but you may (and probably will) find combinations that work better for your play style. Please let me know some of your choices and the successes (and failures) that helped you come to those decisions. I’m always looking for that optimal way to tweak my character and bring the most out of my class.

Sorcerer Spell Rotations 2

Basic RotationsOne of the bread and butter rotations starts with Delay Blast which provides a few seconds to tee up more damage. The next batch of spells will include a chain and some nukes. There are many options and you will want to try out the options to see which provides the return on your mana you enjoy. One such rotation might be the following:Cast Delay BlastDuring the delay you should be able to unleash Ice Chain and its chained spell Frozen Shock. This will provide some damage and a nice knockback as the slowed enemy tries to get to you.Time to add some fire to this ice. Cast Flame Cage for some nice damage over time. Some players will cast Flame Fusion in later levels to help lower the fire defense of the enemy. While the damage ticks, cast another chain including Flame Bolt and its chain partner Blaze.Once this first round barrage is on the way to your target, it’s time to take inventory. The next step will depend on the health of the enemy, the pool of mana available and the location of the next fight. If you need (or want to) end the fight quickly at the cost of some mana, drop a Flame Harpoon on the bad guy.If time is not of the essence don’t be afraid to use a little spellbook ranged attack to finish them off.Watch that mana, and don’t be afraid to use Mana Treatments, potions, etc. to keep yourself topped off.Make sure to cast Lumiel’s Wisdom for 15 seconds of discounted spell costs (50% off) when you start dropping on mana reserves. When you hit level 34 and get Gain Mana, you’ll be able to cast this for some mana regeneration as well.Topping it all off.You have all kinds of options and the above is just one illustration of how to approach a one on one PVE battle. The rotation will definitely vary depending on the type of enemy and whether you are solo or grouped up. Try different variations and see what kind of rotations work best for you in a solo situation, but don’t forget that you will also be called upon for group work and PVP. Some skills will seem like they have no purpose, but imagine how they might be useful in a group or PVP scenario.

Cleric PvP Guide

Heavily armored but not heavily armed is the name of our game. You didn't roll this cleric to heal people through dungeons involving orcs and trolls. You rolled it to stomp on people with holy might and bless those on the front line with the stamina to endure those sorcerer Infernos. Playing a cleric in a game of massive PvP and horrible imbalance when one player is a higher level than the other can be difficult, but we have the endurance and potency to win against anyone in the end. There's more to our PvP than meets the eye!Do you really want to rely on this guy to kill people? Can he even do a 720?COME PREPARED. Don't fly around in the abyss without several things.- Wind Serum. You will have to chase people a lot as a cleric. Don't let your wings be the reason you fail.- Health Serum and Mana Potions. Serums are a good backup against burst damage and Mana Potions may be necessary in long fights and fighting other clerics solo.- DP food. Sometimes things just go to hell. We have outstanding DP backup heals and they are meant to be used.- Healing potions. Sometimes dispelling isn't an option due to silences and we NEED to be able to cast/get some stuff off of us. It starts a cooldown but it can be better than the cooldown of soul healing at the obelisk/kisk

Sorcerer Spell Rotations 1

High output long downtime, or sustainable mana management, what’s your game? The Sorcerer is similar to other cloth wearers in other games where the goal is to balance damage output with mana conservation all while staying out of harm’s way. Seems easy enough, but there are many variations when it comes to enemies, situations and the required combat sequences. Since most people will practice the spell rotations on various encounters and have their own favorites by the time they get into the level 40 range, we’re going to focus on the earlier part of the level range. As with most of my discussions, we’ll focus on how to achieve the best damage throughput using the lowest amount of mana thus having the least amount of downtime.
Walking before you run.Aion provides many ways to learn about your class as you level up. The good news is that you are provided a stair step approach to character skill sets. Within the first twenty levels you’ll learn the lion’s share of the spell types. Later on you’ll get a host of upgrades to those base skills and get a few more to help round out your compliment of abilities. All of this means that a basic spell rotation can be developed early on and then honed to a fine point over time.

Cleric PvP Guide 2

MANO Y MANO, or solo combat when farming/rifting in the Abyss or otherwise. To put it simply, we have it really good against most classes. Wars of attrition are right up our alley. We have two major things to watch out for, and that's silences and stuns. Both of those will snuff our instant heals that get us back in the game instantly.Melee Classes are fairly easy to kite with our fast cooldown root. Hit and run with Chastisement, Earth's Wrath, and Holy Servant. If you get stunned or otherwise brought into the fray, go for a quick Heaven's Judgement chain for a stun to buy some time for another root and to get back to range. If you get lucky with root not breaking and their potions/etc are on cooldown, go for a Smite combo and pray for a Divine Spark to proc. You want to stay above 60% health at all times against Assassins and Gladiators, Templars you can be a little more lenient with. Assassins will go for an Aether Hold into a stun and try to burst you down, Glads will lead with Severe Weakening into an Aether Hold combo. Expect a DP move to be thrown out to finish you, which is why you need to stay high at all times. Do not doubt Templars either- a decked out templar with a great sword is just as potent as a mean gladiator.Chanters get their own section for being laughable for us until 45+, when they have a wicked healing stigma and the best stun in the game. Do not engage these solo at high levels. Unless you are entirely geared for damage, you are not outdoing a Chanter without some great luck in interruptions and Divine Spark proccing. They are dangerous to kite since they will be faster than you most of the time. Whatever you do, don't melee them. One parry means a splash strike which they will likely try to combo into a stun/DP for a finishing burst. Remember to keep Festering Wound on them to negate their awesome HoT.Sorcerers are a mixed bag. If you can survive the 50% cast time reduction stigma, you will likely win. The typical sorceror will go for a Curse of Roots, get to proper range and pop everything he has, going for a combo starting with Delayed Burst and ending with a DP or Inferno. You will likely have to hit your healing serum and flash of recovery here, but he can't do that again. Light of Recovery is potent enough to counter individual spells with ease. Use your instant spells as you close the distance with them to make them panic and start moving. While they move, you should go for a Smite combo or get Earth's Wrath going on them. If you get lucky with a Heaven's Judgement, you can go for more damage or take a risk and go for a Radiant Cure to reset the fight completely for them, only they're on cooldown on many key abilities. Remember that you can dispel everything they put on you, and do so. You do not want to be running around with negative fire resist after the initial impact! Most sorcerers are stigma'ed for fire and stick to it, so if you're feeling brave you can go for a Summer Circle to make survival easier over the course of the fight. The major downside to fighting a sorcerer is actually killing one. Just take heart and smile when you see him run off while you're asleep.Spiritmasters are the bane of us. A long silence, many roots, a pet that likes to smack us on a regular basis with DoTs and debuffs, and if we want to keep up we have to dispel constantly, limiting our offense. On top of that, Ignite Aether will purge all of your buffs 3 at a time if they slot for it. Rule #1 is get to the air to avoid the spirit for the most part if it's not water. Rule #2 is to NOT get in the air if they have a Water Spirit out. There is nothing that makes a SM grin more than sending you down crashing down if you try to get crafty/run away. If they are using a Water Spirit, it's actually a good idea to try and kill it since most SMs don't even use Summoning Alacrity or have it on a skill bar. They're made of paper and Chastisement/Servant/Earth's Wrath should kill it in short order and most SM's are too focused on bringing you down to heal their pet. If the pet isn't part of the equation, it becomes a gun-slinging match with them more focused on DoTs and debuffs. Balance your offense with Dispels when Erosion/Chain of Earth/Sandblaster gets put on you. If the pet is down or not a part of the fight, SMs really are lacking in burst damage and you can win a war of attrition. Survive the fear, survive the silence, and they'll either root you and run or be a pile of wings in no time.Rangers are a problem. We have solid physical defense and a shield but they do stellar damage and can't be kited, or rather, they kite us better than we can kite them! Stay healthy so you can't be burst down after a Stunning Shot. Dispel snares and poisons, and close the gap just like Sorcerers to try and get some mind games going on, but most rangers are adept at firing specials on the move. Good luck. You'll need it.Other Clerics are a battle to see who can call in help faster. No one dies in a cleric vs. cleric battle. We don't have any command stuns and we can dispel Festering Wound from the opposition. Light of Recovery dominates the match up and you should just open a private store with "what's the point" as the banner after a minute or two of not getting anywhere. Blah.

Cleric PvP Guide 3

GROUP/SIEGE COMBAT - If you don't crash doing it, that is.Be aware. It's awesome to have a line in front of you of ranged offense and templars looking to pull people to your killing line, but if there's a legion coming in from behind you and you're not even looking that way, you are dead and the other clerics will have far more trouble keeping people alive and getting resurrections done. Watch your back and call when you've got significant incoming.Do not hold back with your heals. The odds of you being able to radiant cure someone are really low. Stick to Light of Recovery, dispel, Light of Recovery and use stigmas as needed. Healing Wind is too slow for use in serious combat, so you need to look into stigmas for your preferred alternative. If you get a moment, drop Festering Wound on a target.Perhaps the most important part of PvP is to take it easy. There's a lot of randomness in knockdowns and stuns proccing, sometimes the server will lag and sometimes things just happen at inopportune moments. Rebirth is like a suicide spell sometimes. When in doubt, do something else in the world. Rifting is such a lovely griefing alternative with much less risk. Just don't get frustrated, and get out there and show those rivals that we're not just healbots!

Spiritmaster Grouping Guide 1

We bring more than just a pretty face and drop rate buff.Grouping is an interesting endeavor in Aion. In many games grouping is essential for end game progression, but with Aion’s PvP focus the grouping for PvE seems to be secondary. Speaking of second class systems, Spiritmasters are the lowest percentage played class in the game. Some of this may be due to the perception of Spiritmasters in groups, not all mind you, but some. Of course most people enjoy bringing along a Spiritmaster for the Spirit Erosion skill that increases the drop rate of loot off mobs by 20%. This is of course significant and should mean that every group would have a designated Spiritmaster spot. Like the late Billy Mays said though, “That’s not all you get!”Is it my deodorant?First let’s start off with the weaknesses of bringing a Spiritmaster to a group. The Spiritmaster is a “tweener” damage class that does not provide the best damage output, or offer better crowd control or buffs than other classes. Gladiators and Assassins will dole out more damage and the other classes bring similar and in some cases better function than our Spiritmaster. This being said, a well played Spiritmaster will be welcome in most groups due to the support offerings and with our pets we can produce respectable damage.

Should I bring a side dish to the party?

Wading past the naysayers and landing in a group, what is it that we bring to the party? Damage is first and foremost. Between our pets (contributing up to 30%-40% of our damage) and our DOTS and direct damage, the Spiritmaster brings a nice volume of sustained damage. In addition to overall damage, we do have a nice dispel skill that we get early on in the levels. So far I have not seen a lot of PvE need for this spell, but I anticipate it coming in handy later on. Let’s not forget the 20% increase to drop rate that Spirit Erosion brings to the group. This is significant and I’ll be surprised if it stays in the game as more theorycrafters get their hands on parsed data to see just how lucrative it is to have a Spiritmaster around.Outside of damage spells, we also bring some crowd control mechanics to the party. First up is the Silence and Root available through stigmas. These can be indispensible when you need an interrupt on a mob or to stop them from running. Another crowd control mechanic is the Fear option. Even though Fear can be used in PvE, it takes a skilled player to keep those mobs bouncing like a yo yo without pulling a whole lot of hate down on the party. Of course if everything goes bad, Spiritmasters do have some Stuns and Roots in their back pocket. Keep them handy in case you overpull or have a pesky runner for a mob.Last but certainly not least is the wonderful out of combat spell for summoning group members, aptly named Summon Group Member. This is a nice to have skill, but with a ten minute cooldown it isn’t near as functional as it could be. Unlike some other games though, the summoning does not require additional players in the area. I guess we can’t have the cake and eat it too.As with any of the classes that don’t fall under pure DPS like Sorcerer and Assassin, a Spiritmaster is more group oriented (heck with all of our Spirits it seems like we’re always in a group). We may not lead the charge or damage meters, but we bring a well rounded attack and support structure. The bottom line is that groups are better off with us than without us. How well you play the Spiritmaster will decide just how much better those groups are that have us along.

Guide to Aion Gold Making

Are you in a need to start making lots of gold in Aion? Gold is the currency in the Aion game and you need lots of it to support your character and have fun while playing the game. But, how to get lots of it?There are basically 2 ways to make lots of gold in Aion.o Grind for materials. o Start doing quests to make gold in Aion.Start Making Gold In Aion By Grinding For MaterialsA really great way to make lots of gold is to grind for materials, items or essences. However, keep in mind that this is a very boring and a very time consuming way of earning gold. Also, you will need to be lucky with the drops. If you don't get good drops, then you can end up spending hours of grinding without obtaining expensive materials, items or essences. Also, another downside on this is that if you go to the wrong places, you won't get the drops you need so it's always a need to go to the right places.Start Making Gold In Aion By Doing QuestsThis is also a great way to start making gold in Aion. When you do quests, you will get a reward for turning it in right? This can be only gold or gold plus an item. Once you sell those items to the vendors, you will get a nice amount of gold.An other great thing to do is to combine this option with grinding. To do this successfully, it's highly recommended to only accept kill quests. This way, you will be doing your quests by killing creatures which can also drop some nice items.
