Could you explain the westernization process of patches like 1.9 to us?”
We have to go through quite a few steps to bring an update from the Korean to Western markets. The first step, obviously, is getting the update so we can begin testing. This step, while seemingly simple, involves several moving pieces: receiving the localization content (the words, tooltip information, UItext, names, quests, and so on), the client update, and the server update. Depending on the size of the patch or expansion, our localization team will begin receiving the new content and poring through it for up to weeks in advance of receiving the software client that goes with it. The localization team creates new terminology for new systems, creatures, maps, names, and pretty much anything else that is new and language-related. After that, the team makes sure that any new files it has received match the previous terminology changes, which leads to lots of exacting search and replace work. Once terminology is complete, the localization team goes through all the new story-related content (quests, NPC dialogs, and so on) and rewrites it. The team transforms that content into native English speech delivered in a natural tone and idiom that makes sense in a westernized culture while preserving the unique lore of Aion. When the team members finished that, it’s time to translate that English version into French and German. After that translation, another round of editing goes on to ensure the translations were done correctly and convey the intended meaning and use the correct idiom for those languages.
When the content is solid enough that it can be tested and we’ve received the client and server update from Korea, our QA team goes to work testing not only the functionality of the update (testing against patch notes and system changes) but also to test the new content in all three languages. Many times, the content goes through several testing iterations during which we change the wording, tweak the UI and its labelling, and fix bugs as they are found. As the testing is going on, we also prepare the technical side for an update. We create new installers, plan the server updates, and plan and test the backend technical pieces that deliver the new software, integrate it into the software, and talk to the various databases that are integral to getting the content and new features from us to you, the player.
Last, we let everyone know about the update! This involves a scheduled and coordinated effort by our Community, Marketing, and PR teams to get the word out through the press, various events, the forums, news items, and email messaging.
I understand that the time between when an update is released in Korea and the time it is released here seems excruciatingly long, but we are not sitting on our hands during that time period. We’re working hard, striving to keep up our high standard of quality, and hustling to get the update out to you as quickly as possible.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-6167175361590234342010-04-10T19:24:00.000-07:002010-04-10T19:26:18.055-07:00New forums and the releaseGreetings Daevas,
You’ve probably noticed that we’ve had a busy week with the launch of our new forums and the release of the first article in the “Ask Kinslon” 1.9 interview series. If you haven’t already had the chance, check out our new forums, and tell us what you think. Now it’s time for our weekly question from the community!

Question of the Week

Deshy from Telemachus asks:

''Why was the option to post comments on our character profile/Aion live status removed, and will it come back in some way?”

We’ve temporarily disabled our comment system to protect our users from a new initiative from RMT organizations. These companies have begun spamming our players’ comments with advertisements and phishing links. Unfortunately, we currently have no effective way to combat this annoying behavior. Rather than let it get out of control, we turned off the comment feature before the spamming and phishing in character comments became a larger issue.

We’re hard at work implementing better tools to enhance this feature of our website. We plan to bring comments back online as soon as those tools have been completed. Although we understand that you enjoyed leaving your friends comments, we take your safety seriously, and our actions are a testament to that.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-47280228336956659882010-04-08T19:28:00.000-07:002010-04-08T19:31:56.194-07:00Step leveling guidesOne of the earliest sites for Aion online, run by two experienced MMO players (Krinadon and Faiona), also has some of the best guides available. This doesn’t really come as much of a surprise to us because we know that the writers are hardcore gamers themselves, and therefore end up knowing pretty much all there is to know about 99% of all the games they pick up.
Right now they offer step by step leveling guides for both factions, and more guides are being worked on as we speak (for example, a Named monster guide and a detailed gathering guide). But for now we’ll take a closer look at the ones that are available.
The leveling guides take you through every step you need to take to get from 1-50 as fast as possible. This is done by showing you which quests to do, in what order, and which ones to avoid to save time.
Another great perk are the color coded maps they provide, giving the locations of all important places you need to go. You can have a look for yourself what the guides look like by downloading their FREE 1-10 guide right here.
You don’t have to buy a guide from 1-50 if all you need is a bit of help from level 30. They provide 4 different packages depending on where you are in the game.
FTWGuides <- This site also has a 1-50 Leveling guide for both the Elyos and Asmodian factions, but judging from the sample video on their site the layout might not hold the same quality as Kozen or KFGuides. Another difference is that Kozen and KFGuides come in PDF format, while FTWGuides is a member site.
For easier reading, and the ability to download the guides to your hard-drive and print it out, I’d still go with Kozen or KFGuides for now. But by all means, check out their sample video and make your choice after that.
Killer Guides * <- Still the only site providing Class specific guides for Aion as far as I know, but the quality of their work is sadly a bit flawed right now. They purposely make it out like they have some incredible secrets that only they know about. The truth though is that the information in their guides can be found elsewhere as well, for free.
* Note for Killerguides: They have been known to utilize false marketing tactics, such as saying that a product is available for sale even though it hasn’t been released yet. So feel free to send them an email, letting them know how you feel about their false marketing tactics. You will however get free life-time updates whenever you buy from them, so you can always grab the latest, most complete copy.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-30443849382454375522010-04-06T20:51:00.000-07:002010-04-06T20:52:34.404-07:00Crafting areas were over flowingAion players enjoyed their first double experience weekend and it seems it was quite the success! Crafting areas were over flowing with players looking to take advantage of Aion's secondary game and the cities were alive with activity. It seems the experience boost revitalized the game, is this exactly what we needed or is it just a lazy quick fix to a serious problem? Nothing is worse than playing a game for Sehvekah: aion gold Maybe I'm just weird, but aion power leveling I *like* topping the wow gold meters by (sometimes well) more wow power leveling than 1k DPS with everyone else doing 1.5k-2k. Yes, it's an ego thing, but not like your knee-jerk reaction would indicate. See, when I'm in a group where *everyone* (including the tank and "healer") is doing 2.5k-5k+, I get my emblems, aion gold it's quick, sometimes I get an achievement -- but I never feel like I really *did* anything. Sure, nobody died, but even with emblems or the odd bit of loot from the IC five-mans, I walk away wondering what the point was. When I'm blowing up the meters with a group of more-or-less fresh 80s, though, it really feels like I'm *doing* something. I know I'm helping the tank hold aggro via glyphed TotT+FoK combo. aion gold I'm keeping the healer in mana by making things die faster before they cause too many problems. I'm helping the other DPSs by making their run that extra bit faster. Everyone (is) getting their emblems and sometimes upgrades from drops, there's the odd achievement, and damn it, the slower run makes it feel more like *something actually happened* beyond my getting two EoF for T10 and a few EoTs closer to kitting my 'lock out in heirlooms. And that's without mentioning the fact that aion power leveling these groups often have actual *conversations* and sometimes the awe of those new to the game, experiencing these "tired old dungeons" for the first time. Hell, it even gives me time to slow down a bit and actually *look* at the places I've been running though. So many times I've run Old Kingdom without paying attention to anything more than the loot pinatas scattered throughout, and that was really stupid on my part. A lot of these places are really awesome and deserve to be savored, rather than rushed through. So to all the newbs, thank you. You're wow gold making my playtime that much more fun, so I'll do my part to help you get the loot you need in return. To those who think recount/DPS means everything, go eat s*$@. Where do you stand on DPS thresholds? Do wow power leveling you believe that too much DPS is never enough? In world of Dungeon wow gold Finder aion power leveling PUGs with overgeared groupmates, when is enough DPS "enough"? hours of your day and logging out feeling like you accomplished absolutely nothing. With Aion's partial lack of quests beyond the early 20s, the average player can expect to spend at least part of their time grinding out levels and this becomes much worse if a player doesn't live for dungeon runs. While grinding kills is a common pastime for some players and popular in Asian games, for most North American and European players, it is most definitely a burden that we don't wish to carry. They will offer a much wider array of functionality than the current ones do. This change offers the Community Team ample opportunity to improve our activities as well. Good luck! There are many person have questions about the aion siege system timer during these days, it has problems with the new fortress raid duration of 30 minutes. It also seems to cause a problem with the Dredgion. The aion siege system timer have been topics for debate dating back to a patch we released for Aion just before the end of last year. The argument is that the new 30-minute siege duration, during which the Guardian Deity is present, is too short for a siege to be easily completed. The timer change was initially brought to the table when we wanted to make fortresses change hands less often and be more valued. We wanted to make fortresses a little bit harder to take and a little bit easier to defend. The two-hour vulnerability timer we had at day one was too long and gave attackers too much of an advantage.
If you have no time to level up your character in Aion, you can come to our site and have a look, we provide the most secure how to build a terrain board . In retrospect, the recent aion siege system timer changes may have been too drastic and all parameters may not be optimal. We are actively monitoring the feedback you are giving us on the new duration and have kicked off a dialogue with the Development Team. We hope to have something to share with the community in the next few weeks. Rest assured, we are pursuing this issue. Most of the quests here will have you hunting the various spirits that reside in the Impetusium. Turbulent Mist Spirits and Turbulent Splash Spirits can be found in the waters to the south of the Heart while your hunt for Soul Essences will have you killing the various humanoid spirits that are found all over.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-27434401783654071952010-03-31T22:13:00.000-07:002010-03-31T22:25:31.316-07:00Do you have time to earn gold ?Do you have time to earn gold ? It was developed at NCSoft's software design studio in South Korea. The Korean closed beta test began in late 2007,followed by an open beta test in November 2008. A localized Chinese version began closed beta testing in December 2008, with open testing beginning on April 8, 2009.

The game was then localized for Western markets, including North America, Europe, and Australia. NCSoft held six weekend long closed beta tests for North American and European players beginning in June, 2009. An open beta began in September, 2009. During the course of this open beta, the anti-cheat program GameGuard was removed. GameGuard is used in many Asian-market games to stop botting and cheating, but was abandoned for Western markets due to a range of issues experienced during the open beta. GameGuard is still used in the Asian markets.

NCSoft has announced plans for a major update in 2010, including an overhaul of the current CryEngine graphics engine CryEngine X1.9.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-26998252215854216682010-03-28T00:15:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.075-07:00Are there limits to flight?Other than the previously mentioned limits to where you can fly, there is another significant limitation that you will always need to keep in mind.Flight has a time limit. I learned this lesson the hard way in the middle of playing with my flight controls and ended up respawning in my bind location before I even realized what had hit me!Aion has falling damage and if you are hovering miles above the ground when time runs out, you will die when you hit the ground. That nifty little flight indicator button that we have already talked about also has a timer around it. This ring around the button has 16 bubbles that tick down while you fly and turns red and angrily flashes when it gets down to 4 bubbles to indicate time is almost up. That is generally enough time to find a place to land assuming you haven’t gotten yourself somewhere rather dangerous. You can land in out of the way places like ledges, cliffs, on top of buildings and other structures so even if you aren’t near the ground, finding some place (any place!) to stand while you wait for your flight bubbles to tick back up again is totally okay!Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-66055374454424469562010-03-28T00:13:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.109-07:00When will I get to start flying?Where can I fly? There is no flight through your first 9 levels. The ability is granted once you have completed your ascension quests and you join the ranks of the Daevas. Your first real introduction to flight will be the cities after you have left the newbie area. It is here that you will learn about maneuvering, fighting, and gathering while in the air. It can get a little tricky though, so I strongly suggest flying around as much as possible at first to get the hang of it.
Where can I fly?
Pieces of Aion need to be present in order for players to have the ability to fly. The Abyss highlights aerial combat so you may plan on using flight as part of your strategy here. Around the rest of the world, the best way to tell if flight is possible is to glance at your UI. There is a button on the lower right hand corner that shows a wing graphic when you’re in an area where you can fly and turns black when you cannot fly. This flight indictor will be your best friend whenever you fly.How do I fly?You can take off by hitting your “Page Up” key and land by hitting the “Page Down” key on your keyboard. I personally did not like the location of those keys but luckily the game also provides a hotkey icon that you can find in your skills window under the actions tab. Drag and drop the icon from this tab to your hotbar where you can use it to take off or to land. If you prefer mouse control over keyboard, you can also click the flight button on the lower right hand corner of your UI.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-16139588522501174482010-03-28T00:03:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.140-07:00Learn what you need to know to get off the ground?Learn what you need to know to get off the ground!Aion is a game that not only allows for multi-dimensional combat, but encourages it to the point where players may never again want to return to strictly land bound gaming. Having never played a game quite like Aion, I was very anxious to make my way to ascension and earn my wings so I could get my taste of freedom and find out what all the hype concerning Aion flight has been all about. I have found that flight is not at all overstated and while the best way to get to know flying is to learn the system hands-on, we want to give you a running head start with some quick facts that will make mastering flight a lot quicker and easier! How is flight in Aion possible?Enjoy views unlike anything you have seen before! Aion’s lore tells us that prior to the world shattering, flight was common in Atreia and Elyos and Asmodians alike enjoyed this powerful gift as thoughtlessly as we enjoy drawing breath. After the world split, flight had been somewhat forgotten for a time until the discovery of the shards of Aion that were found scattered across the lands. Elyos and Asmodians reclaimed their gift of flight through ascension and Daevas once again soared through the skies of Atreia. It is amongst these shattered pieces of Aion that we find our ability to fly, and while flight isn’t possible in all parts of the world, it is in many major areas throughout the world and within the Abyss.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-24850776976596246632010-03-28T00:01:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.153-07:00Aion SalesAion is the massively multiplayer online game from NCsoft and earlier we reported that the game would be coming to Europe and North America. Now according to Gamespot, the NCsoft MMO, Aion has sold almost a million copies in North American and European regions.
Apparently the company announced in its third quarter earnings call that the MMO had sold over 500,000 copies in North America and 470,000 copies across Europe. Aion gave NCsoft quite a boost, and revenues for the most recent quarter were up by 112 percent to 142 million dollars, and net income during the July to September period were reportedly up by about 836 percent to 40 million dollars. In Aion, players are engaged in a war foughtbetween celestial creatures, as the fate of the magical world of Atreia lies in the balance. A crucial part of the game is flight, and players can use it to explore new locations, combat enemies, and to complete quests in the game.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-16674702981113550852010-03-27T23:54:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.160-07:00How do Clerics earn Abyss Points?Abyss Points, in general, are rewarded based in the damage dealt by a whole group. (A group being, at maximum, six characters.) A Cleric will not gain any Abyss Points if he plays on his own and heals the members of a different group, but he will gain the same number of Abyss Points as his fellow group members receive when they fight other players or groups. He also gains the same amount of Abyss Points as anyone else would when dealing damage and successfully defeating opponents in one-on-one situations. The Medals distributed during fortress sieges are assigned based on Abyss Point ranking. One might rephrase the original question as: How do Clerics earn Medals?Medals can be used to buy items in the Abyss and are therefore quite valuable. Gold and Silver Medal rewards are given out to the top 100 players of a siege based on the amount of Abyss Points those players gained. It’s essential for everyone to be able to participate in Abyss sieges and other more or less voluntary brawls. While there is always room to improve any game system, we feel that the current Abyss Point and Medal system goes a long way to compensate players for their respective efforts. In Aion, we always try to encourage what we feel is the foundation of MMO gaming: playing with friends and grouping. With the latest Aion patch, patch 1.5.1, are adding Medal rewards to Legions that successfully defend a fortress throughout a siege. The Legion’s Brigade General will distribute these to the Legion’s members, including Clerics. Not only will this allow Legions to more independently distribute rewards according to what contributions they feel were made, but we also hope this change will motivate Legions to take greater care in defending their fortresses.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-38436652132981906102010-03-27T23:50:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.174-07:00Aion Bot, Aion Hacks, Aion MacrosThis page is dedicated to finding the best aion bot for you, Filled with reviews and helpful information so you can't go wrong finding the best bots on the market.

What is an Aion Bot?
Aion bots are primarily used to level characters effortlessly but can be used for other purposes such as healing and buff bots. Some can be used just for their basic functions such as auto-loot and even their hacks. With Aion being released without GameGuard, this has spawned quite a number of Aion Bots in a short period of time. There are many to choose from and sometimes its hard to decide which is the best bot for you. So this page is dedicated to finding the best aion bot for you.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-24396347523960493582010-03-27T23:47:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.183-07:00Try The Aion BotDo you want to powerlevel to 50, farm billions of kinah, and gear out with the best loot with the click of your cursor? With an Aion Bot, you can put your powerleveling and gold farming on autopilot. A bot can run for hours a day on mobs, filling your inventory with the best gear, pillaging piles of gold, and lots of experience. An Aion bot works by continuously patrolling, hunting mobs, looting, and even gathering. These bots are set to run for days at a time while you are away from the computer at work, at school, out with buddies, or even while you sleep. These bots appear just like other players that might be grinding or completing quests. Aion bots send inputs thru keys to the game and make use of ingame functionality to automate gameplay. The greatest bots have complicated waypoint systems, run back to your farming path on death, buff up, and even stop looting when your inventory is full! Aion was engineered to offer many quests, but still need you to grind to level up. By the point you reach level 20 you may already be running out of quests and might have to grind for hours to reach the next level. This game has some of the best PVP and content in any MMO, so why pass the time grinding while you could be PVPing or purchasing the following set ofgear. With an Aion bot you can still experience all of the missions in the game if you like, and only bot when the game makes you grind. I like this aion leveling bot and aion grinding bot. Not only does it offer an sophisticated waypoint system, deathruns, buffing, a configurable combat system, and plenty more sophisticated features, but it also includes gameguard protection to keep your account safe. Free or public macro bots don't include this protection and using them may result in your account being banned. With this aion bot you can keep your account safe while botting. It also has its own launcher, and one of the largest botting community forums on the net. With this aion bot you cannot get it wrong.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-65736057858811592632010-03-27T23:33:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.197-07:00The Sorcerer,GuideThe Sorcerer class follows a very natural path of progression from the Mage archetype. Rather than being saddled with the same old spells and a spiffy new pet like the Spiritmaster, you can now focus all of your efforts into bending the weave of the universe to your will. The destruction you were able to wreak as a mere mortal mage doesn’t remotely compare to the hell you’ll learn to unleash upon your foes as an immortal Sorcerer.
Strengths Extremely high DPS (ranged)Multiple "Get out of jail free" abilitiesLess gear dependent than other archetypesWeaknessesVery slow auto attackHobos have better armorSlow mana regenerationWords to still live by"Kill or be killed... quickly."
Yay! I’m a Sorcerer… now gimmee. The first thing you’ll receive is your choice of a new weapon. Up until now, you’ve been forced to flip open a spellbook, waggle your fingers, and zap some enemies. Now you can choose between another spellbook and a new weapon type: an orb.Given all the information available to you in the description of both, it looks as though you would be a fool not to choose the Orb of Karma. The Orb does more damage, has better stats (minus the Magical Accuracy), and let’s face facts; everyone likes to play with something new. Sounds great, right? Guess what though. You should take the Spellbook of Karma instead. On paper, this looks like a boneheaded idea of the first order. There’s just one disturbing little fact the description of both items fails to mention. The Orb is a close range (as in melee distance) weapon. This works perfectly for a Spiritmaster, but for the Sorcerer, it’s a near-suicidal mistake. The Spellbook is a ranged weapon, just like you’ve been using all along, so grab it and be happy.
Where Are My New Spells?Once the thrill and excitement of your recent ascension wears off, you’ll quickly begin to realize you’re little more than a glorified Mage at this stage of your development. While you may not get a lot of new spells, you have grown in power so don’t get too depressed. The treasures of the future are just around the corner. At level 10, your method of hunting should not vary at all from your days as a Mage. Even though you’re using the same techniques, you do have a couple of new abilities (Herb and Mana Treatments) to do it with. Flame Bolt II is an upgraded version of Flame Bolt I (duh!) and packs a meaner punch. It works exactly the same way and will also trigger your Blaze chain attack.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-18933961080644779172010-03-27T23:32:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.209-07:00Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 3Munihele Forest
When you first venture into Munihele Forest, you'll come across Dabi and Motgor. Motgor will complete Idle Hands and offer you Insect Problem. Whichever insect you choose, both the Sparkys and Sylphon are in abundant supply nearby. Talk to Dabi to get Search for Rae, Token of Lost Love, and Sap for Leather. Before heading southeast to Verdandi, take care of Insect Problem and Token of Lost Love then hand them in, but save Sap for Leather for now. Head to Verdandi to advance Search for Rae, and she'll want you to gather sticky mushrooms. These grow on the base of certain trees, and several of the spawns seem to be broken. Just keep clicking and searching until you get a usable node.
Verdandi will "tell your fortune" - a little bit of a playable cutscene that's to be continued later. Cull the Doru population a bit (and welcome to level 6), then Verdandi will ask you to figure out which ribbit is the meddlesome little Rae. As you can probably guess, the cute ribbit is the correct one.
Instead of returning to Aldelle Village, venture onward to Auturoon Sentry Post, your next quest hub. There's a flight transporter to Aldelle Village that you can unlock there to make your village trips hassle free.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-27449296974220715092010-03-27T23:30:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.217-07:00Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 2Aldelle Village
Pull up your map (keystroke [M] by default) and you'll see the cusp of Aldelle Village down the road to the southwest. Entering the village will grant you one of two "pop-up" quests: Captain's Orders. Hit [J] to pull up your quest journal and see that this is also your first campaign quest. Campaign quests are mandatory storyline quests that also provide you with some excellent equipment upgrades, so it's worth your while to complete these first.
Ulgorn is standing in the middle of the village. Report to him to get a few more campaign quests (Thinking Ahead, The Search for Rae, Memento Mori). While you're in the village, grab The Shinier The Better from Bacorkerk (sell off any misc items you have to the general goods vendor next to him) and Urd's Request from, not surprisingly, Urd. Before leaving the village, talk to your class instructor and pick up the next round of spells (Priests and Mages will find their trainer in the northwest of the village, Scouts in the eastern part, Warriors in the west). Then chat with Boromer to advance Thinking Ahead (and see your very first cutscene, and get in touch with your bad Asmod self). You'll then venture down the road to talk to Nobekk for another Thinking Ahead quest advance, plus Angelica for Health and Wellbeing. Off to Lake Tunapre.
Lake Tunapre
You'll pick up Talking with Mirou on the way to the lake. Start cranking on the slinks and airons around and in the lake and you'll hit level 4 soon enough. Keep an eye out for Angelica to harvest for Nobekk too. When you finish, talk to Bohr next to Negi's Dock. You might as well accept his proposal for the experience and cash - if you refuse you'll be able to accept again immediately. It seems Bohr's cowardice knows no bounds. If you're lucky, you'll loot a rolled scroll. Double click it to get Return to Sender, a simple delivery quest that's the perfect way to return to Aldelle Village.
Turn in this round of quests to advance Thinking Ahead, then pick up Idle Hands from Kaindal (he's wandering through the center of the village). Take care of the Sprigg Gatherers next to the lake, and you should be level 5! Train your new spells and abilities, set up your hotbar, and return to the village. This is a great time to sell your stuff, put any potions you have on the hotbar, and expand your cube (or inventory, since soon your trips will take you farther afield), and buy your level 7 spells / skills. Finish any remaining business you have in Lake Tunapre and Aldelle Village, then head west on the road to Munihele Forest.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-9743271315566902622010-03-27T23:28:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.229-07:00Aion Asmodae Ishalgen Guide 1Character Creation
So you've decided to roll Asmodae. Contrary to widespread belief, Asmodae aren't necessarily "evil," but certainly got the worse end of the deal when the cataclysm rent the Tower of Eternity in two. No matter how much time you put into making your character pretty, remember that your Asmodae-ness will shine through in several ways. More sinister-looking Asmod visual attributes - large-ish claws on our feet and hands, a length of mane on your back, sallower shades of skin, scars, and spell effect like red eyes - are simply adaptations or the result of their environment. Nonetheless, living in a rugged land has made the Asmodae into a hard people, and at first brush they are certainly act a little more barbaric than their Elyos cousins.
Archetype, sex, and appearance are three options you won't be able to change with your Aion character, so choose wisely. Be sure to read the archetype descriptions closely and pick something you'll be happy with over the long haul.
Aldelle Basin
You'll start your journey in Ishalgen with Aldelle Basin. Double-click Vandarnt, one of the ubiquitous Ulgorn's raiders, to receive a quest to eradicate the local sprigg population in The Sprigg's Revenge. Spriggs don't pose much of a challenge, so this is a perfect time to learn a little bit about your (rather limited) combat skills. You'll add more skills and spells at level 2, 5, 7, and 9, so be sure to read up on and get the most out of each successive round of new abilities.
Complete your first mission and Vandarnt will send you on your way with The Sprigg Report. Trek down the road a goodly ways until your just past the ruins on the hill. On the other side, below, and to the left lies Guheiten's Tent. Turn in The Sprigg Report (grats! Level 2!) and pick up For The Love of Fruit from Vanar. Start at the Sprigg Den just to the northwest of Guheiten's Tent, double-clicking the fruit baskets (be sure to "Take All" each time) and working your way counterclockwise. Return, turn in, and get Sight for Sore Eyes, which will take you just to the northeast once again. Turning in this one will get you Level 3 and Vanar's Flattery, and you're off again to your next quest hub: Aldelle Village.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-70391889417587060712010-03-27T23:26:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.237-07:00Cliona Lake in aionCliona LakeQuests from Akarios Village will set you about exploring Cliona Lake where you will help the local populace with clearing out more threats as well as collecting some rare items and retrieving a lost axe. The lake is meant to be the centerpiece of this zone and while the number of quests here do not neccessarily reinforce this feeling, the scenery certainly does. There are several spawn points of the begining gathering recourse here, grab any of these that you can. Gathering quests are a big part of early Aion for a reason, start now so that you wont need to backtrack later. If you are saddened to leave this picturesque spot you need not fret to long, you will be back here to help complete your ascension quest later.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-62843648025123667692010-03-27T23:24:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.246-07:00Elyos Poeta GuidePoeta is the starting area of the Elysea, the homeland of the Elyos and the lower half of the world of Atreia. Your character awakens in the Akarios Plains near the first quest giver, Elpas. Elpas admonishes you for some laziness then sends you off down the road to meet to with Mires. Upon completing your first quest Mires will then offer you a quest to help take back a small farm that has been overrun by some unruly kobolds and other creatures. Completing the quests in this area will take you quickly through the first few levels and guide you down the road to Akarios Village.
Akarios VillageIn Akarios Village you will meet your class trainers, NPC merchants and the quest giver who will begin the quest chain that will lead you eventually to the main goal of Ascension. This area is the main player hub for all of Poeta and contains an obelisk that binds your soul for resurection should you be killed in your early endeavors and a travel portal for teleportation and quick travel to other areas of the zone via a very cool in game flight sequence. There will be a lot of quests to grab here as well as the cube vendor and the class trainers selling spell books. I recommned upgrading your cube, it may seem like a lot but it is very worth it as there are so many trash drops and you will want to sell every single one of them. It is also a good idea to purchase as many spell books as you can afford to maximize your time in the field.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-756653460347119106.post-39847504550929122002010-03-27T23:22:00.000-07:002010-03-29T01:31:34.256-07:00Mastery Kinah GuideAion Mastery isn’t the best Aion leveling guide but it’s a very strong kinah making guide. It’s more detailed than anything you’ll find for free and obviously the author really knows what he’s talking about. While I can’t recommend it as the absolutely best kinah making guide, in my opinion it has what it takes to compete with Killerguides Kinah Guide. I was debating whether to rank it first or second but I think it might be even better than Killerguides guide, especially because you can also get leveling guides with it.
My recommendation is to get both Aion Mastery and Killerguides kinah guides as they compliment each other very nicely, but I doubt you want to spend money on two guides so this time I’ll leave the decision about which one to get to you: both of these kinah guides are good and either one will undoubtedly help you become a wealthy player.Games Sharehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00034711532629615765noreply@blogger.com0
